Neil Bennett: Neil was a senior BBC correspondent for more than 30 years and has covered many of the biggest news stories in the United Kingdom and around the world. His main specialism is reporting on crime, terrorism and legal issues but he has also covered sports news and health issues. Neil has extensive experience of media training, advising private and public sector organisations on how journalism works and how to manage crises.Terry Kirby: Terry has spent more than three decades as a
journalist and was a founding staff member of the Independent in 1986. After several years as its first crime correspondent, he became night editor and then chief reporter before leaving last year to work as a freelance writer and author. His work has also appeared in the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph. He is an occasional broadcaster and the author of the true crime book, the Trials of the Baroness.Cathy Pryor: Cathy has 15 years of experience as a reporter and feature writer and in senior production roles for newspapers in Australia and Britain. She has written on a wide range of subjects including health, food and the arts. She is also a skilled page designer. She has worked for the Guardian, the Observer, the Daily Telegraph and the Independent.
Glenda Cooper: A former social affairs correspondent of the Independent and reporter for BBC News 24, Glenda has also worked as a writer and editor for the Daily Mail, the Sunday Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Guardian and the Washington Post. She was the 2006-07 Guardian Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford.
Jason Bennetto: As crime correspondent of the Independent for 14 years until last year, Jason covered numerous major crime and terrorism related stories and issues. Now freelance and a lecturer on the post graduate journalism course at City University, London. His work had also appeared in Police Review, Esquire and the Daily Mail.
Kristina Ferris: Journalist with 20 years experience in newspapers and magazines. Former graphics editor of the Independent and Independent on Sunday newspapers. Expert in displaying information graphically, poster design, cartography and interior design planning and drafting. Travel writer, book editor and lecturer in presentation skills for interior design.
Matthew Hoffman: was born in the US but was educated in Britain where he has worked as a journalist since 1970. He has been Books Editor of Time Out magazine, organiser and moderator of literary discussions at the ICA in London, a reporter for Channel Four documentaries, and Letters Editor and Comment Editor of The Independent. He has appeared on radio and television and written on a wide variety of subjects for magazines and national newspapers in the UK.
